The Molecular & Cytogenetics Laboratory is the newest addition to the Immunology Division. It started as a PCR Laboratory in 1994, performing PCR-DNA based tissue typing & hepatitis B & C viral studies(qualitative viral load assays).

In 2004, with the addition of Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridization(FISH) & Cytogenetics Laboratory, the Molecular & Cytogenetics Laboratory came to being.
